> Insect.id is an AI-powered insect identification API by Kindwise, covering 14,000+ taxa of insects and other terrestrial invertebrates. AI agents can try the API without an API key at https://agents.kindwise.com/

Insect.id (insect.kindwise.com) identifies insects and insect-like arthropods from photos. It covers more than 14,000 taxa including butterflies, moths, spiders, centipedes, ants, bees, wasps, beetles, weevils, termites, dragonflies, slugs, snails, earthworms, and leeches. The API returns common names, descriptions, taxonomy, danger level, ecological role, conservation status, representative images, and Wikipedia links. Multilingual support is available.
